Quake Brunch

Every third Saturday of the month

12PM–3PM CST. Winner eats all.

I will make Finnish kropsua pancake and coffee. You bring a computer and a mouse. I have mouse pads. Headphones optional.

The zip includes Quake, the QuakeWorld client, and all maps currently in rotation.

Remote players:
Edit autoexec.cfg in Quake/qw/ and add my public IP: 71.34.6.95.

Send me your public IP so I can allow it through the firewall: “what is my IP?”

To change your player name, edit autoexec.cfg. You can add other client parameters there too.

The in-game downloader is painfully slow.

Once configured, launch qwcl.exe to auto-connect to the Quake Brunch server.

Hold TAB to see players and scores.

Press T to chat with everyone.

Movement: W A S D
Fire: left mouse button
Jump: right mouse button

Mouse wheel cycles weapons. Or use number keys 1–9.

Press ~ (tilde) to open the console.

Change your name in console:
name my-new-name

Change colors in console using:
color <vest> <pants>
Example: color 3 13

Vest and pads are the first number. Pants are the second.
